Italian Neoclassical Carved and Painted Lyre Back Daybed Settee

Vintage Italian Neoclassical Carved & Painted Lyre Back Daybed Settee

An exceptional vintage Italian Neoclassical Revival daybed settee featuring an elaborately carved and painted wood frame with beautiful classical detailing and luxurious custom upholstery.

The architectural frame showcases a striking carved lyre and floral motif at the center of the backrest, complemented by elegant twisted spindlework, decorative circular borders, carved rosettes, and ornate finials. The tall enclosed sides and gracefully scrolling legs give this distinctive piece a sophisticated Louis XVI-inspired appearance.

Finished in a beautiful antiqued cream and pale gold, the intricately carved frame displays a softly distressed patina that enhances its Old World European character.

Newly custom upholstered in a gorgeous Kate Spade bow-tie patterned velvet chenille, featuring a plush down-filled seat cushion and matching cylindrical bolster pillows. The dramatic black, ivory, and champagne geometric pattern creates a stunning contrast against the classical painted frame.

Generously proportioned at 66 inches wide and 28 inches deep, this versatile piece functions beautifully as a settee, decorative lounge, or petite daybed. Perfect for a grand entryway, formal living room, bedroom, dressing room, or sophisticated designer interior.

A truly unique statement piece combining traditional Italian craftsmanship with contemporary designer upholstery.
