Beautiful large-scale original oil painting on canvas, signed Lourenco, depicting a tender and intimate moment between a mother and child against a softly rendered village backdrop.
The artist captures the warmth of maternal love through expressive brushwork, rich earth tones, and a harmonious palette of muted blues, soft greens, ivory, and warm terracotta. The mother gently embraces her child, creating an emotionally compelling composition filled with movement and tenderness.
Executed in a modern figurative expressionist style, the painting combines detailed portraiture with loosely rendered architectural elements and textured brushstrokes.
Presented in a substantial decorative carved wood frame with a distressed gold and gray finish, complemented by an integrated brass-finish picture light.
Signed "Lourenco" in the lower right corner.
