A finely detailed Madonna and Child sculpture rendered in richly layered polychrome and gold accents. The Virgin stands gracefully upon a stepped pedestal, her robes flowing in tones of deep blue, crimson, and warm ivory, adorned with delicate gilt motifs. She gently supports the Christ Child at her side, who holds a small orb symbolizing sovereignty and the world.
The figures feature softly modeled expressions, porcelain-like faces with subtle blush tones, and carefully carved drapery that creates depth and movement throughout the piece. The darker outer cloak, embellished with gold patterning, contrasts beautifully against the lighter undergarments, adding dimension and warmth.
A devotional sculpture of substantial presence, this piece carries both reverence and artistry. Ideal for a sacred space, gallery display, or collector of religious art.
