Mid-Century Modern Paul Frankl Cork and Wood Dresser with Mirror by Johnson Furniture

An exceptional Mid-Century Modern cork and wood dresser attributed to Paul Frankl for Johnson Furniture Co. of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This beautifully proportioned piece combines rich natural textures, architectural lines, and distinctive brass hardware, reflecting the sophisticated character of American Mid-Century Modern design.

The dresser features a long, streamlined silhouette with eight exterior drawers arranged symmetrically on either side of two central cabinet doors. The doors showcase textured cork panels accented by oversized circular brass pulls, while coordinating round brass hardware adorns the drawers.

Opening the central doors reveals seven additional pull-out drawers, offering substantial concealed storage. A protective glass top complements the warm wood finish, while the coordinating rectangular mirror completes this elegant bedroom ensemble.

The dresser retains its original Johnson Furniture Co. manufacturer's stamp from Grand Rapids, Michigan, confirming its American manufacture.

With its striking combination of cork, wood, glass, and brass, this distinctive piece makes a sophisticated statement in a bedroom or dressing room. Its generous proportions and versatile design also allow it to function beautifully as a credenza or sideboard in a living or dining space.
