Tall, narrow, and almost architectural, this Antique Shanxi elm cabinet has a deep brown-black lacquer that gives its simple silhouette incredible depth. The open center creates an unexpected moment of negative space, while two lower drawers and the enclosed upper section give the piece a beautifully stacked, almost sculptural composition.
