Mid-Century Modern Italian Veranda Adjustable Three-Seat Sofa by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in Blue Fabric – For Reupholstery
An exceptional Italian modernist “Veranda” three-seat sofa designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina, featuring an innovative adjustable seating system that transforms a traditional sofa into an intimate, sculptural lounge arrangement.
This remarkable design consists of three individually upholstered seating elements with adjustable backrests, allowing each seat to be positioned for personalized comfort. The two outer seats pivot inward up to 90 degrees on a distinctive semicircular black lacquered wood base, transforming the linear sofa into a curved, conversational seating arrangement.
Upholstered in its original deep blue fabric, the sofa showcases Magistretti's ingenious approach to adaptable furniture design, combining architectural precision with comfort and functionality.
The striking silhouette and mechanical versatility make this an extraordinary statement piece for a sophisticated living room, contemporary residence, architectural interior, or private collector's space.
A celebrated example of Italian modernist design, the Veranda sofa reflects Vico Magistretti's ability to create furniture that is both visually compelling and remarkably functional.
