An elegant pair of vintage Georgian Revival style armchairs by Plunkett Furniture, featuring beautifully carved wood frames, gracefully curved open arms, and sophisticated traditional detailing.
The sculptural frames showcase richly carved serpentine aprons, elaborate shell and foliate motifs, and sweeping cabriole legs terminating in delicate scroll feet. The generously proportioned upholstered backs feature a distinctive shaped silhouette, accented by decorative nailhead trim.
Currently upholstered in a neutral gray textured material with a distressed leather-like appearance, these chairs offer a wonderful opportunity for custom reupholstery. Their architectural lines and warm wood finish make them ideal as statement chairs in a formal living room, library, bedroom, or as elegant host chairs at a dining table.
