Neoclassical Italian Architectural Ruins Four-Panel Folding Screen by Maitland-Smith
Regular price$3,850.00 USD
/
An impressive vintage four-panel folding room divider by Maitland-Smith, featuring a beautifully rendered Italianate landscape inspired by classical Roman architecture and ancient ruins.
The panoramic composition depicts monumental stone columns, a classical rotunda, architectural fragments, and a decorative stone urn set against rolling hills beneath a dramatic blue sky filled with billowing clouds. The rich architectural detailing, atmospheric perspective, and muted earth tones evoke the romantic grandeur of traditional European landscape paintings.
Crafted with four hinged wooden panels, this substantial decorative screen combines fine artistry with functionality. Its monumental scale and classical imagery make it an elegant statement piece for a grand living room, library, entryway, gallery, or sophisticated commercial interior.
Equally striking as a freestanding room divider or decorative backdrop, this screen brings timeless European elegance and architectural character to any space.
