The first thing you notice is the red—deep, worn, and beautifully uneven, with generations of age revealing darker and natural elm tones beneath the lacquer. Run your hand across the seat and the surface is unexpectedly smooth, softened over time rather than rough or heavily textured. Even more surprising is how comfortable they actually are; the gently shaped solid-wood seats feel natural to sit in, while the tall, simple backs give each chair a quiet sculptural presence. No two have aged exactly alike, giving this set of three its own collected character.
