Vintage Postmodern Sculptural Patinated Metal Armchair with Triangular Etched Back
A striking vintage Postmodern sculptural armchair handcrafted in metal and distinguished by its dramatic geometric silhouette. The chair features an oversized inverted triangular backrest rising above a circular seat, framed by broad sweeping curved arms.
The triangular back is decorated with an intriguing collection of hand-incised and etched abstract symbols and figural motifs, giving the piece the character of a one-of-a-kind studio work. Below, slender metal rods intersect and curve asymmetrically to form an expressive architectural base terminating in small rounded feet.
The metal retains a richly mottled, dark patinated surface, emphasizing the handmade character and giving the chair an almost archaeological or primitive-modern appearance.
