A striking vintage Beauvais bench by Marge Carson, inspired by the graceful forms and elaborate ornamentation of French Louis XV and Rococo furniture. The beautifully carved wood frame features a softly aged silver-gilt finish, sweeping scroll arms, delicate foliate carving, a shaped apron, and elegant cabriole legs.
The bench has been newly reupholstered in luxurious magenta velvet, creating a dramatic jewel-toned contrast against the silver-gilt frame. Fine contrasting piping accentuates the sculptural silhouette, while the generously cushioned down-filled seat provides exceptional comfort.
