Vintage Marge Carson French Louis XV Style Carved Giltwood Lit de Repos Daybed in Italian Gold Velvet

An exquisite vintage French Louis XV-style lit de repos daybed by Marge Carson, featuring an elaborately carved gilt-accented wood frame and luxurious new custom upholstery in Italian gold striped velvet.

Inspired by traditional French reclining furniture, this magnificent daybed features two beautifully upholstered scrolling ends, gracefully curved cabriole legs, and an ornate carved apron adorned with delicate acanthus leaves, flowing scrollwork, and a central floral cartouche. The softly antiqued gilt finish highlights the intricate craftsmanship and elegant curves of its sculptural frame.

Newly custom upholstered in sumptuous Italian gold striped velvet, the daybed features an oversized down-filled cushion, padded scrolling ends, and two matching bolster pillows. The subtle variations of gold and champagne tones beautifully complement the carved frame, creating a sophisticated combination of Old World French elegance and contemporary luxury.

With its impressive 95-inch width and generous 41-inch depth, this substantial lit de repos offers exceptional comfort for reclining, lounging, or relaxing. Additional center support legs provide stability while maintaining its graceful silhouette.

An extraordinary statement piece for a grand bedroom, luxurious dressing room, formal living room, sitting room, or sophisticated designer interior. This exceptional Marge Carson daybed combines classical French-inspired design with the comfort and quality of custom upholstery.
