Tall and architectural, this 19th-century Shanxi elm cabinet immediately draws your eye to its intricate lattice doors, where the repeating geometry creates a beautiful play of light, shadow, and negative space. The warm, aged wood gives the large silhouette a softness that keeps it from feeling heavy, while the five interior shelves and three lower drawers are hidden behind an incredibly decorative facade. At nearly seven feet tall, it feels less like simple storage and more like a piece of carved architecture.
