Chinese Shanxi Monumental Square Elm Coffee Table, 1800s
Regular price$8,625.00 USD
/
Nearly seven feet across, this 19th-century Shanxi elm table feels less like a piece of furniture and more like an architectural element in the room. Believed to have originally served as a traditional sleeping platform, its immense square surface carries generations of natural patina, tonal variation, and beautifully imperfect wear. Now functioning as a low coffee table, its unusual proportions and quiet simplicity let the sheer scale and history of the wood speak for themselves.
