Italian Rococo Style Tufted Lion Motif Sofa and Chair Set Newly Reupholstered

Antique Italian Rococo Revival Hand-Carved Lion & Heraldic Crest Parlor Sofa and Armchair in Cognac Leather – Pair

An extraordinary two-piece antique Italian Rococo Revival parlor suite featuring magnificent hand-carved lion figures, elaborate scrolling foliage, and luxurious new cognac Italian leather upholstery. Dating to the late 19th century, this impressive ensemble consists of a generously proportioned sofa and matching armchair, both showcasing exceptional sculptural detailing and commanding architectural presence.

The richly carved wood frames feature dramatic seated lions along the arms, intricate acanthus-leaf scrollwork, and gracefully shaped cabriole legs. Crowning the sofa is an elaborate heraldic-style crest flanked by two sculptural lions, creating a striking focal point reminiscent of grand European palatial interiors.

Both pieces have been completely refinished and newly reupholstered in supple, high-quality Italian leather in a warm cognac tone. Deep diamond-button tufting, tailored cushioning with all-new high-density foam, and decorative brass nailhead trim beautifully complement the intricate woodwork.

A remarkable statement ensemble for a formal living room, private library, grand salon, or sophisticated collector's interior. The combination of dramatic figural carving, warm wood tones, and rich leather upholstery brings timeless European grandeur to any setting.
