More than a decorative object, this monumental Shanxi elm door feels like an entire piece of architecture brought indoors. The hand-carved wood surrounds two functioning doors that still open outward on their original wooden hinges, with aged metal banding and an interior locking mechanism revealing how the piece was once actually used. At seven feet tall, the weathered elm, deep carving, and beautifully irregular surface give it the presence of something that has stood in place for generations.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition, with weathered finish and some minor scuffs and wear consistent with age and use.
