Antique Chinese Carved Dragon Settee With Burgundy Mohair
An impressive Chinese settee distinguished by richly carved dragons, flowing cloud motifs, and a sweeping arched crest. Three pierced back panels create a dramatic silhouette, while sculptural dragon-head arms hold freely moving wooden spheres within their open mouths.
The intricate carving extends across the side panels and apron, complemented by curved legs terminating in paw feet. The wood’s deep reddish-brown tones pair beautifully with newly upholstered burgundy mohair seating and matching cylindrical bolsters, adding sumptuous texture to the sculptural frame.
A commanding centerpiece for a library, entryway, or thoughtfully collected living room.
