Monumental Restored Chicago Architectural Salvage Mahogany Pier / Hall Mirror
Circa 1895–1910
An exceptional monumental Chicago architectural salvage pier or hall mirror, fully restored and retaining its impressive original architectural presence. Crafted in solid mahogany, the mirror features a richly carved Neoclassical pediment adorned with ribbon-tied laurel swags, a central urn motif, and finely executed Corinthian capitals above fluted pilasters.
The substantial frame surrounds a large mirror plate, while the lower section incorporates a gracefully curved display shelf over paneled millwork with a carved center bracket. Originally salvaged from a distinguished Chicago residence or commercial building, this architectural statement piece has been professionally restored while preserving its beautiful antique patina and craftsmanship.
Its monumental scale makes it ideal for a grand foyer, library, fireplace overmantel, boutique hotel, luxury retail space, or sophisticated residential interior. Architectural pier mirrors of this quality and size were commonly incorporated into prestigious Chicago buildings during the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.
