French Louis XV Revival Marquetry Fall-Front Secretary Desk with Marble Top

Exceptional French Louis XV Revival secrétaire à abattant, featuring exquisite wood marquetry, richly figured veneers, ornate gilt bronze mounts, and a beautifully veined multicolored marble top.

The elegant cabinet showcases a serpentine silhouette with meticulously arranged bookmatched and chevron-patterned veneers across the front and sides. Contrasting wood tones, decorative feather banding, and finely detailed gilt bronze hardware highlight the craftsmanship and sophistication of this classic French design.

The upper drawer sits beneath the original shaped marble top, while the fall-front writing compartment opens to reveal a fitted interior with storage shelves, three small drawers, and a fold-down writing surface lined in embossed reddish leather.

Three additional drawers beneath the writing compartment provide generous concealed storage. The cabinet is further embellished with elaborate gilt bronze corner mounts, decorative escutcheons, and graceful cabriole feet with ornate metal sabots.

The combination of beautifully figured wood, elegant proportions, and luxurious materials makes this secretary a remarkable statement piece for a library, bedroom, living room, or refined interior.
