The first thing you notice is the shine, the high-gloss black lacquer catches the light and makes the curved bombé silhouette feel even more dramatic, especially along the sides. A green-and-white beveled marble top adds natural movement and contrast, while bright, polished brass ormolu stands sharply against the black finish.
Up close, the details feel substantial rather than delicate. The brass handles are heavy and sturdy in hand, and the four drawers open smoothly. Elegant but commanding, this is the kind of piece that immediately gives a room presence.
