Monumental Italian Neoclassical Gilt Center Table with Mythological Sea Creatures
Regular price$9,500.00 USD
/
An example of Italian Neoclassical Revival design, this monumental center table combines rich gilding, faux tortoiseshell finishes, and extraordinary sculptural details.
Its expansive black circular top features intricate floral and scrolling foliate patterns. Beneath, a warm amber-and-brown faux tortoiseshell apron is accented with pierced gilt ornamentation.
The true centerpiece is its base: four gilded mythological sea creatures, each with expressive faces, detailed scales, and dramatically curled tails. At their center, a classical urn overflows with sculpted flowers and garlands, connecting the figures in an elaborate composition.
Designed to be admired from every angle, this table offers a different sculptural perspective as you move around it. An exceptional statement piece for a grand entryway, luxury residence, gallery, or hospitality interior.
