American Carved Wood Jumper Carousel Horse on Ornate Stand

Antique Early 20th Century American Carved Wood Jumper Carousel Horse on Ornate Stand

An impressive antique American carved wooden jumper carousel horse dating to the early 20th century, beautifully restored with a sophisticated matte black finish and displayed on an ornate antique gold-toned metal stand.

The horse is captured in a dynamic leaping pose, featuring an elongated neck, expressive open mouth, raised front legs, and finely sculpted musculature. Carved saddle and harness details enhance its traditional carousel character, while the monochromatic matte black finish gives the historic form a striking contemporary presence.

Mounted on a decorative spiral carousel pole with a rounded finial, the horse rests above an elaborate cast metal tripod base adorned with scrolling acanthus leaves and classical ornamentation. The contrast between the sculptural black horse and antique gold-toned base creates an elegant, gallery-worthy presentation.

Originally designed in the tradition of American amusement park carousel horses, this remarkable piece has been refurbished and reimagined as a decorative sculpture.

An exceptional statement piece for a grand entryway, gallery, designer showroom, boutique hotel, or eclectic interior. Combining nostalgic American folk art with dramatic sculptural form, this antique carousel horse offers a distinctive blend of history and modern sophistication.
