An impressive set of three antique French Rococo Revival brass altar candlesticks, featuring elaborate cast detailing, architectural proportions, and a beautifully aged patina.
Each candlestick features a tall, slender column with decorative foliate capitals, raised ornamental bands, and an intricately pierced candleholder adorned with scrolling acanthus leaf motifs. The substantial tripod bases display elaborate openwork scrolls, floral embellishments, and sculptural feet, reflecting the ornate craftsmanship associated with 19th-century French ecclesiastical furnishings.
The set includes three coordinating candlesticks, with the center piece slightly shorter than the two flanking examples, creating a balanced and visually striking arrangement.
Originally designed in the tradition of church altar furnishings, these elegant candlesticks make an exceptional decorative statement on a fireplace hearth, console, dining table, or within a collection of antique religious artifacts.
