Discover a piece of history with this exquisite pair of antique oversized neoclassical style wall sconces, once gracing the home of renowned Chicago African American opera singer La Julia Rhea. DuSable Black History Museum collected most of her memorabilia. These sconces, believed to be a cherished gift from a nineteenth century opera house, adorned her residence in Blue Island, Illinois, until her passing in 1992. While they are in fair condition and may require some restoration—services available for an additional fee—these sconces offer a unique opportunity to own a tangible connection to a significant cultural legacy.
