Vintage Hollywood Regency Sculptural Mahogany & Genuine Snakeskin Stacked Oval Étagère

This is one of those pieces that immediately commands attention in a room. Four oversized oval compartments are stacked vertically, creating a dramatic sculptural silhouette that feels as much like an art object as a functional étagère.

Each oval is framed in richly finished dark mahogany and wrapped along the exterior in genuine crème snakeskin. Up close, the natural scale pattern and subtle variations in the snakeskin give the surface incredible texture, while the dark mahogany outlines each oval and emphasizes the exaggerated curves.

From the front, the four open compartments create individual niches for displaying books, ceramics, sculpture, or collected objects. Walk around the piece and its personality changes—the rounded snakeskin-wrapped sides become much more prominent, giving the étagère a substantial three-dimensional presence despite its narrow footprint.
